The weakest Northern side fielded so far this season sought to emulate the performance on the same pitch the week before by collapsing to 40 all out. When you consider that 17 of the total were extras the nature of the capitulation is driven home. Four batsmen picked up ducks and another 3 scored just a single. Only numbers nine and ten, Perkins and Thomas made any impresson as they scored 7 and 8 respectively. Ryan completed his hattrick of ducks for the season as he batted studiously before blocking a ball straight to silly mid on.

Chedzoy took 3 wickets as Northern tried gamely but 40 was never going to be defendable and DoC reached 41 in the 8th over.
