Westside 2 Cardiff Northern 2 Trelai, 28th January Starting
XI Northern were fielding potentially their strongest 11 of the season but when Carl Manley went off injured after one attack and Gavin Bishop shortly followed Northern were firmly under pressure. Against the run of play David Manley took a quick throw and a Mustey cross set up Craig Palfrey for a close range headed goal. A goal mouth scramble saw Westside back on level terms son afterwards. Westside were forced into a couple of substitutions at half time and this turned the game back into Northern's favour. A series of runs from right back by David Manley could have resulted in a couple of goals but poor finishing meant Northern couldn't get the elusive goal. When Fundalski was brought down in the box reserve penalty taker Stephen Mustey stepped up and put the shot well wide. This inspired Westside who then went up and scored a goal against the run of play. A long diagonal ball from David Manley was flicked on by Fundalski and a tame shot by Mustey wormed its way past the keeper for 2-All. Both teams had further chances but the game petered out to a fair result of 2-2. Subs: Andrew Pill, Gareth
